Whether or not you are currently carrying a niggling injury or have had previous injuries, we can provide the education and resources at North Shore Physio & Pilates to enhance your sporting performance and reduce your injury risk from our comprehensive fitness screening assessment. We will study your movement control and sporting technique to identify muscle imbalances and flexibility issues which can affect your performance. Your posture will also be analysed as a load imbalance through the weight bearing joints in your spine, can add strain and eventual weakness to your arms and legs. This process will allow us to provide you with home exercises or refer you onwards to our supervised Pilates classes for strengthening and improving the flexibility of selected muscle groups that require attention. As these classes are individually tailored to your fitness goals, exercises will be shaped to teach you correct muscle activation in your chosen sports/recreational activity.
